☣CHARACTER;
Name: Kainé
Alias: N/A
Series: NieR
Canon Point: After the battle with Popola and Devola, before Emil's sacrifice.
Age: 17. However, since she ws petrified for five years, she may be classified as 22, but...
Rank: 51
Weapon: Kainè wields two twin serrated swords. So let us just give her those. The main difference being that after about five to ten minutes of being used, depending on just how much she uses it, the blades begin to dull and become basically useless. This is where there are plugs at the ends of the sword handles and thus charges the blade back to top shape. I would like to add that the more she uses them, the more heavier become. Once she is unable to hold them without having some kind of difficulties, will she be aware that she must recharge them.
Personality: Anyone's first impression on Kainè is that she is a cold, ruthless, and mistrusting woman who is stuck on doing things on her own. Even with her rather... unusual clothing, she has no intentions on seducing another person. In fact, she dresses in such clothing in order to show her more feminine features due to the fact that the children in her old village of Aerie used to ask her why she even bothered wearing dresses. Ths was due to the fact that Kainè is in fact intersex, and she wore such clothing in order to anger the villagers in her act of claiming herself to be one hundred percent female.
Though her rough behavior is not inherited by her past. In fact, she inherits both that and her foul mouth from her grandmother, who was just as aggressive and violent as the Kainè we see today. Due to her parents deaths happening at a young age, Kainè grandmother was the first person that she considered to have loved.
Her ability to simply say whatever is on her mind, along with her foul language and clothes, has her immediately judged by the few that happen to approach her. She is a difficult person to understand in general, and the only way to understand why she is so quick to offend rather than compliment someone is usually only understood by those that are patient to stay with her any longer. This goes for both the other person and Kainè herself, due to the fact that she does prove to be quite impatient herself. A good example of this is when Nier first meets Kainè, who is not even hesitant when lifting up her swords and going in for the kill.
Though if one is willing to be patient with Kainè, they will learn that she has been alone most of her life. She finds it very uncomfortable while talking to others, this is why she tends to wait on the outside of the villages whenever Nier visits them in order to avoid conversations. On the topic of avoiding villages, when both she and Emil are kicked out of Nier's village even though they helped defeat the Shade, Kainè simply shrugged and commented on how she is "used to it". This is because she would rather not have to deal with another person's opinion over her physical differences if they were to ever find out. You could say that she is generally afraid of interaction, though she is far to proud to admit it herself. This also leads to the fact that she rather speak with actions more than she does words, especially when someone does not meet her expectations of either insulting or threatening her. Though she does understand how to handle serious conversations, she is unable to do so without seeming either intimidating or at least aggressive while doing so.
Though it is not impossible for Kainè so expose a more gentle side of herself. A pure and excellent example of this is some of the conversations with Emil, who later sees her as something like a sister later when he remembers his past underground his mansion. Kainè learned how to love herself, and this is due to her grandmother, no matter how physically different she is than the others around her. With the confidence that she had found years ago, she reassures Emil that he should love his eyes (even though they have the ability to turn anyone to stone) because it apart of him. And though he does later physically change in order to save her from her petrified state, Kainè is still generally kind to him. While they are kicked out of the village and forced to live outside while Nier is in the comfort of his home, Kainè continues to show Emil her gentle nature. Going as far as cooking and sharing stories with them as they wait. This kindness also goes for any child who suffer from the judgement of people, and who are usually ignored or frightened by others. You could say that she becomes the protective elder sister, who immediately puts that person under her wing in order to protect them.
Kainè is also very loyal towards her companions and whoever else that is fortunate to earn both her respect and affection. Though she is still not used to being considered a "friend", which exposes that she is both quite pleased and surprised when Nier puts her into that category. Though this no way changes her from her aggressive and much more "manly-attituded" attitude, Kainè does seem to be much kinder towards him. Of course, this doesn't stop her from throwing a few kicks his way whenever he makes a mistake or tries to do anything reckless. While Kainè has proved to not take her life into much consideration, she refuses for someone that she is willing to call a "friend" into a position where they would sacrifice themselves. She is very much aware of her end due to the Shade that posses her, and thus believes that a friends life is much more important than her own. Though towards the end, her Shade, who goes by the name of Tryann, tells Nier of how happy and grateful she was to have such people in her life who had finally accepted her.
☣PERMISSIONS;
OOC;
backtagging: You may. Though I will only go as far as one to two weeks on tags. If you happen to be busy, I have no problem going back further if you honestly wish to.
threadjacking: You may. Though it depends on the situation; also ask the other Mun if I agree to it.
character recognition: You may. However, it will lead to a quick a shrug and a simple "fuck you". Chances are she'll never believe you, even with proof.
offensive subjects: As related to OOC conversation? Probably best to avoid it unless we know each other well and understand each other's boundaries. However, in reference to IC things, I cannot think of a single offensive topic that I would protest to Kainé being exposed to.
IC;
injury: You may injure Kainé to an extent without having to consult me. Broken bones, scratches, bruises, and a bit of bleeding is all more than welcomed.
death: If you honestly wish to have a plot forming around Kainé's death, you may as well know that it is difficult to kill her. She has had swords through the chest and giant Shades complete crush her only to stand right back up with hardly a scratch. The only known way to kill her is for Kainé to be completely swallowed by her Shade, Tyrann, and then stabbing her directly in the heart. Please remember that she must be completely taken over by her Shade in order to do this.
warnings: She is unafraid of cursing or mentioning rather graphic deaths. A favorite of mine being when she curses at the Shade "Hook", "I'm gonna pull out your teeth and cram them up your ass!" or rather, one of many. She has rather... interesting insults.
☣OTHER: Kainé is not much of a talker depending on the subject. If she has no answer, she'll plainly say that she has nothing to say on it. Getting her to talk more actually does prove to be a challange, especially when in a over populated area.

I am more of a AIM user than I am anything else. I have just recently returned to plurk after a short break from role-playing, so I am still at the point of adjusting to it.
